This was a direct result of Kevin’s trauma. It is heart-wrenching to think about what Kevin went through, but thankfully he was able to find some measure of protection and stability through his alter ego.
Kevin is clearly disturbed and his therapist needs to focus on getting him the help he needs. She should not try to downplay his potential for violence, as this could put other people in danger.

It will be interesting to see how this new personality develops in future episodes.
