Why has Valve abandon TF2?
Valve is listening to the community and they know that TF2 is a big part of their success. However, they also know that the game is not generating enough revenue to justify the amount of time and money they are putting into it. As a result, they have decided to cut back on the development of the game. This is why there are only a handful of employees working on the game at any given time.

Idling for drop is now considered obsolete due to a patch that nullified this system, which requires the player to confirm their previous drop in order to be eligible for more Moreover, Casual Mode servers and many Community servers now automatically kick “for being idle” players that are not moving for some time.

The problem of Steam accounts being hacked has been increasing at an alarming rate, with 77,000 accounts being hacked every month. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed urgently. Valve, the developers of the Steam platform, are working on a solution to this problem, but in the meantime, users need to be extra careful to protect their accounts.

There is no doubt that a lot of people are interested in a potential Team Fortress 3. However, at this point in time, it seems highly unlikely that the game will ever be made. Based on what we know so far, it seems that the game is not currently in development, and is not likely to be developed anytime soon.
It’s great that the game can be played without making a purchase, and that all game modes, classes, and maps are available. However, it would be nice if there were more weapons available without having to achieve, drop, or craft them.
