Sonichu became canon (sort of) in Pokemon Sun and Moon which introduced Togedemaru an electric Pokemon that is a Electric/Steel hedgehog and Gen 7’s pikaclone. While Togedemaru doesn’t look exactly like Sonichu, it is similar enough that it could be considered a homage to the character.

The Sonichu Animated Series was a hilarious parody of Christian Weston Chandler and his self-published comic. The show ran for two seasons, with the first having 10 episodes and the second having only one. The split up into two parts was especially funny, as it made fun of Chandler’s own splitsville with Megan Schroeder.
